BUENA VISTA, Va.—The Southern Virginia women's soccer team won their second home game in a row in a 1-0 overtime win over Randolph College under the lights at The Fields on Wednesday.
The Knights (2-4) outshot the Wildcats (1-4-1) 22-8 in the 99 minutes of play.
Sophomore forward Jamilla Gambee led the attack with four shots, including two shots on goal and the game-winning score in the 99th minute.
The goal came from a Southern Virginia cornerkick that was deflected and stopped in front of Gambee, who sent it soaring to the top of the net for the win.
The Knights other two shots on goal came from freshman Shayli Nakamoto and junior Tatiana Monsen. Sophomore Mckenzie Cottle chipped in four shots in her fourth start of the season.
Southern Virginia heads to Division-I Radford University on Friday for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
