BUENA VISTA, Va.-The Southern Virginia women's soccer team defeated Marymount University during senior night on Wednesday by a score of 2-0, with goals scored from two seniors.
Senior Maia McArthur put the Knights (5-9, 2-5 CAC) on the scoreboard with her first career goal in the 13th minute. Ten minutes later, senior Tatiana Monsen scored the Knights' second goal off of a throw-in assist from fellow senior Victoria Slade.
The Knights dominated Marymount (7-7, 2-5 CAC) on both ends of the field with 21 shots, nine of which were on goal. Monsen led the team with four shots, all of them on frame.
On Saturday, Southern Virginia hits the road to take on St. Mary's (Md.). Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. in St. Mary's City, Md.
