BUENA VISTA, Va.—The Southern Virginia men's soccer team fell 3-0 to Bridgewater College, Thursday night.
The Eagles (2-1-2) found the back of the net in the seventh minute to take an early lead and scored again in the 30th minute to take a 2-0 lead at the half. Bridgewater converted on a free kick in the 53rd minute for their final goal of the game.
The Knights (2-3) had six shots on goal compared to Bridgewater's 17. Brandon Zapata recorded two shots. Four other players each had one shot, including Tyler McElwee's shot on goal.
Keenan Carroll had three saves in goal for the Knights.
Southern Virginia hosts Methodist University at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 17.
