BUENA VISTA, Va.—The Southern Virginia women's soccer team fell 4-0 to Shenandoah University Tuesday night.
The Knights (3-4) were unable to connect on their five shots, including a penalty kick which was saved by Shenandoah's (6-2) keeper.
The Hornets took the lead in the seventh minute, and continued to build with three first half goals, including a successful penalty kick, and one goal in the second period of play.
Goalkeeper Megan Turner had seven saves in the loss.
Southern Virginia opens Capital Athletic Conference play on Saturday and will head to Salisbury University. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. EST.
