ROANOKE, Va.—The Southern Virginia men's soccer team took a 4-0 loss Wednesday evening away against Roanoke college.
The Knights (2-5) were unable to find any shots on goal despite the five that were taken.
The Maroons (3-3) scored their first goal off of a header in the 16th minute. Roanoke found the net twice more in the first half, and finished the game with a fourth goal late in the second.
Marrott Weekes had two shots for Southern Virginia while goalkeepers Colin Flynn and Spencer Young spilt time in goal, recording one save each.
The Knights hit the road for their conference opener against Salisbury University on Saturday, September 24. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. EST.
