First Set:
- The Knights jumped to a 5-2 advantage with points from four different players with a kill from Brenna Clyde, Taryn Kartchner, and Sydney Hopkin, and a service ace from Courtney Pinkston

- The Pride took the 1-0 lead in the match after Southern Virginia had a service error, giving Greensboro the 25-20 set win

- Midway through the third, both teams were knotted at 17 before the Pride ran ahead to a set point after a 7-1 run
- Sydney Hopkin sparked five consecutive points from the squad to come within one 23-24, but a kill from Greensboro secured the 25-23 set win and 2-1 lead in the match
- Sydney Hopkin led the team with five kills
Fourth Set:
- With both teams knotted at eight, Elle Warnick recorded a kill that ignited a 10-1 run, doubling up the Pride 18-9
- Greensboro came within three points 20-23, but a service error from the Pride and a kill from Ella Burrows forced a fifth set, taking the 25-20 set win
Fifth Set:
- Southern Virginia made quick work of the fifth set, with precision serving from Elle Warnick to go up 7-0 early
- Elle Warnick connected with Courtney Pinkston, who followed up her kill with a service ace to extend the lead to 10-3
- After a quick 4-1 spurt from the Pride, the Knights locked in their 15-8 set victory with an ace from Julia Monson, a kill from Elle Warnick, and two kills from Sydney Hopkin
Southern Virginia travels to Staunton, Virginia, for back-to-back games on Saturday, October 16, against Meredith and William Peace. Game one is scheduled for 2 pm, and game two is slated for 4 pm.
