Box Score BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University football team took on Greensboro College in Knight Stadium Saturday afternoon for the squad's homecoming game, with the Knights defeating the Pride 31-14.

- On the first play of the game, Jason Siaosi strip-sacked the quarterback, forcing the fumble with Tyler Wester recovering the fumble on the Pride's own 29-yard line
- Four plays later, Pinkston handed the ball off to Jacob Wood, who rushed ten yards to put the Knights on the board 7-0
- Beginning the second quarter, Southern Virginia drove the ball to Greensboro's 25, setting up Derek Bass for the 42-yard field goal attempt
- Bass converted the field goal, putting the Knights up 10-0 with 12 minutes remaining in the half

- With five minutes remaining in the game, Tyler Wester picked off Greensboro, taking it to the house for the 12-yard interception touchdown to put the Knights up 31-7
- The Pride managed to squeeze one final touchdown in, recovering a fumble by Southern Virginia's offense and scoring the 14-yard touchdown making the final score 31-14
