MARYVILLE, TN. — The Southern Virginia University football fell to conference foe Maryville College Saturday afternoon 38-17. 

Game Notes

• The Knights opened up the scoring with Derek Bass hitting a 27-yard field goal to put the team up 3-0
• With three minutes remaining in the first, Davis Pinkston found an open Woodson Francois for the 74-yard touchdown 
• Two minutes later, Maryville got on the board with a Cam Malone 1-yard touchdown run 
• The Scots took the lead in the second quarter, scoring a 39-yard touchdown from a Mykel Santos reception
• Maryville used three more touchdowns to go up 32-10
• The Knights scored their final touchdown when Davis Pinkston hit Skylar Johnson for the 42-yard touchdown reception 
• Maryville used one last touchdown to lock in the 38-17 victory

Southern Virginia returns home to Knight Stadium to take on Huntingdon in a USA South Conference matchup. Game time is slated for 1 pm.
