Women's Soccer Dominates Meredith 3-0

RALEIGH, NC. — The Southern Virginia University women's soccer team defeated Meredith College Saturday afternoon in the final regular-season game with the Knights, defeating the Avenging Angels 3-0. With the win, Southern Virginia will host their first match in the USA South Conference tournament. 


Game Notes

  • After a scoreless first half of play, Maybel Harris got the team's first goal of the game on the board, scoring unassisted
  • Five minutes later, Sydney Liles dished out a pass to Delaynee McKeachnie, who scored to put the Knights up 2-0
  • In the 83rd minute, Kimi Kanekoa scored her first career goal, locking in the victory for the Knights

Southern Virginia will host their next game in Knight Stadium for the first round of the USA South Conference tournament. Opponent and time are to be determined.
