Women's Soccer Earns Back to Back Wins at Home with 2-0 Win Over Emory & Henry

BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University women's soccer team earned their second consecutive victory, defeating Emory & Henry Monday night 2-0. 


Game Notes

  • The Knights got on the board early when Delaynee McKeachnie found an open Makya Lindgren, scoring the first goal of the game to put the team up 1-0
  • After halftime, Makinna Winterton scored the security goal in the 66th minute to put Southern Virginia up 2-0
  • The Knight defense stood tall all night, holding the Wasps without a shot on goal the entire match

The Knights continue conference play Wednesday, October 6, taking on Greensboro College in Knight Stadium. Game time is slated for 4 pm.
