Box Score MARYVILLE, TENN. — The Southern Virginia University men's soccer team took on Maryville Friday night, falling to the Scots 3-2 in double overtime.

- In the 29th minute of the game, Maryville gets on the board first off an Austin Vinyard goal assisted by Craig Mcllwraith
- Ten minutes later, in the 39th minute, Danny Fietkay ties the game up scoring his first goal of the season
- Ammon Lewis scored the go-ahead goal in the 51st minute off a Shawn Curtis assist
- The Scots force overtime, scoring in the 87th minute with a Ndubueze Henry goal
- Spencer Young kept the Knights alive, making a crucial stop in the first overtime
- In the 104th minute, Henry scored the golden goal to give the Scots the 3-2 victory
Southern Virginia continues their season, taking on Piedmont Saturday, September 11. Game time is slated for 6 pm.
