HARRISONBURG, VA. — The Southern Virginia University men's soccer team took on Bridgewater College Tuesday night, falling to the Eagles 7-0.

Game Notes

• Five minutes into the game, Bridgewater took an early lead with an unassisted goal from Alex Martinez
• The Knights defense came together, holding off Bridgewater's attack, but Parker Richard found an open David Franco to up 2-0 in the 66th minute
• Four minutes later, Franco again scored off an assist from Trevon Phillips
• In the 74th minute, Southern Virginia unfortunately had an own-goal, putting the Eagles up 4-0
• Franco recorded the hat-trick scoring the team's fifth goal off a penalty kick
• Bridgewater closed the game scoring two more goals and securing the 7-0 win

Southern Virginia returns home to Knight Stadium Wednesday, September 15th, taking on Shenandoah University. Game time is slated for 7 pm.
