BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University men's soccer team took on Shenandoah University Wednesday night, falling to the Hornets 3-2 in overtime. 

Game Notes

• In the 61st minute, Warren Moses found an opening in the defense, taking it down the field, and was able to chip it over the goalie's hands to put the Knights up 1-0
• Cesar Orellana spotted an open Niclas Vavra off of a corner kick to tie the game at one
• Five minutes later, in the 81st minute, Peysen Webster scored his first goal of the season, scoring the go-ahead goal 2-1
• Jasson Acosta of Shenandoah knotted the game back up 2-2, sending the match to overtime
• In the 100th minute, Nathan Yared scored the golden goal off of a Connor Robles assist, locking in the 3-2 victory

Southern Virginia takes on Ferrum College Saturday, September 18. Game time is scheduled for 5 pm.
