RALEIGH, NC. — The Southern Virginia University kept their undefeated conference record alive Saturday afternoon, defeating Pfeiffer University 69-64.

Game Notes

• Southern Virginia shot 43.3 percent from the field while dominating the boards 49-38
• The Knights displayed their vision, dishing out more assists 15-3, while keeping the paint in check, outscoring the Falcons 46-26
• After the first quarter of play, the Knight held the 13-8 advantage, following an Emma Camden jumper
• Pfeiffer closed the game to two points 17-15, but Southern Virginia used a seven-point scoring run to jump ahead 24-15
• The Knights headed into the halftime break with the 30-21 lead
• With just over a minute remaining in the third quarter, the Knights held their largest lead of the game 53-39 off of a Savanna Christensen layup
• Southern Virginia continued to keep their distance from Pfeiffer, never trailing the remainder of the game, and taking home the 69-64 victory

The Knights will look to remain undefeated in conference play, hosting Pfeiffer for a rematch on Monday, January 31, in Knight Arena. Game time is scheduled for 5 pm.
