DANVILLE, VA. — The Southern Virginia University women's basketball team collected their 12th consecutive conference victory on the road Wednesday night, defeating Averett University 72-49.

• The Knights found themselves down two points after the first quarter 12-14
• Katie Garrish and Emma Camden led the way with four points each
• Emma Camden began to heat up in the second quarter, leading all players with seven points along with four rebounds
• Coming off of the bench, Anna Singer added five points in the second while dishing out two assists
• Katie Garrish had her best quarter in the third, tallying nine points and one block
• Savanna Christensen chimed in with five points and two assists, while Jadie O'Bray and Barrett Jessop added two points each
• Southern Virginia scored 25 total points in the third quarter to stretch their lead and never look back
• The Knights defense stood tall, only allowing six points in the third quarter
• Lima Mulitalo led the team in the fourth quarter with four points and five rebounds while Sophie Wright drained a three-pointer to cap her performance
• Southern Virginia ended the match shooting 43.5 percent from the field while dominating the boards 50-34
• The Knights shared the ball more, dishing out 26 total assists, while doubling the Cougars in the paint 44-22

Southern Virginia returns to Knight Arena Friday, February 4, welcoming Meredith College. Game time is slated for 7 pm.
