Box Score BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University women's basketball captured their first USA South Conference Championship Saturday afternoon in Knight Arena, taking down Berea College 73-62.
"This was a great team win for us," said head coach Lynette Schroeder. "We never doubted our ability to be victorious through the ebbs and flows of the game. Every role mattered today and it is an amazing feeling to see the team accomplish their goals."

- Emma Camden added six more points to her total, while Katie Garrish and Courtney McKrola added nine total points
- Southern Virginia ran away with the title in the final minutes of the game, capturing their first title in their inaugural season within the USA South Conference
- The Knights ended the game shooting 51 percent from the field, and dominated the paint 36-20
