LYNCHBURG, VA - The Southern Virginia Women's Tennis team traveled to Randolph College Tuesday afternoon and beat the Wildcats 8-1.
The Knights started out sweeping doubles with an 8-3 win from Jillian Arnold and Paula Snelson on court 1; Remly Fry and Lydia Delich got a quick 8-0 victory on court two, and Lia Savage and Grace Howell wrapped up doubles with an 8-1 win.
In singles actions, the Wildcats jumped out 1-0 in the first game after a close three-game set by Snelson but went on to sweep the rest of the completion with wins from Delich (6-0, 6-0), Arnold (6-1, 6-1) Savage (6-2, 6-1) Howell (6-4,6-0) and Ella Dalby (6-4, 6-2)
Southern Virginia returns for the first home game of the fall season for a match on Monday, October 9th, where the women's team wraps up their fall season with match-time set for 3:00 PM.
