BUENA VISTA, VA – Southern Virginia University's women's soccer team continued their impressive form with a hard-fought 1-0 win against Brevard College at home. The victory marks their fifth consecutive win and fifth consecutive shutout in the season for the Knights.

The match remained closely contested throughout before Southern Virginia's Tessa Miller emerged as the game-changer in the 61st minute when she found the back of the net, scoring the match's only goal. Miller's goal was the decisive moment, securing another important victory for the squad.

With this win, the Knights have now outscored their opponents 15-0 in their previous five matches. The team's solid defense and ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities have been instrumental in their recent success.

Southern Virginia takes a brief pause from conference play, taking on Christopher Newport University at home on Tuesday, October 10, at 6 p.m.
