BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia Women's Volleyball team had a solid week of play, taking down Salem College and Methodist University, avenging their losses earlier in the season. The Knights handled the Spirits easily with a sweep while going to five sets with the Monarchs. 

Game One Notes vs Salem:

• Sydney Bassett led all players with 11 kills, followed by Brookelyn Madland with eight and Jilane Pedersen with five
• Sarah Hoofman had a solid night, recording four aces and dishing out 28 assists
• Madison Green exploded onto the scene, dominating the net with six blocks

Game Two Notes vs Methodist:

• Bassett again led all players with 20 kills, while Clyde contributed well with 14 
• Hoofman again was a menace from the serving line, tallying seven more aces while quarterbacking the offense with precision with 47 assists
• Green matched her performance from the previous game with six more blocks

The Knights travel to Raleigh, NC, for a tri-match weekend, taking on Meredith College and Pfieffer University on Saturday, October 14. Game one is set for noon, while game two is scheduled for 2 p.m.
