BUENA VISTA, VA. — In the First Round of the USA South Conference Tournament, the third-seeded Southern Virginia University Women's Volleyball Team took on sixth-seeded Methodist University. In a tightly contested matchup, the Knights rose victorious with a 3-1 victory. 

After taking the first set and dropping the second, Southern Virginia mounted a fourth-set comeback to claim their victory courtesy of a Sydney Bassett kill. 

The Knights travel to Greensboro College on Thursday, November 9, to play in the USA South Conference Semifinals. 

Game Notes:

• Brenna Clyde led the offensive charge with a game-high 15 kills, followed by Sydney Bassett and Brookelyn Madland with 14
• Taryn Anderson had a night, recording three key aces to help the team towards victory 
• Madison Green, Jilane Pedersen, and Brenna Clyde were dominant at the net, combining for 16 total blocks 
• Jessica Ensley continued to anchor the defense, tallying 21 digs
