FERRUM, Va- The Southern Virginia University men's wrestling team fell to Ferrum College 35-13 Saturday night. Elijah Blackwell, Ikia Garcia, and Morgan Peterson recorded the night's victories. The loss drops the Knight's record to (4-5) overall and (2-4) in Old Dominion Athletic Conference competition.

Morgan Peterson got in the win column first for Southern Virginia as he got a 13-5 victory over Joey Olade. The senior rebounded after a tough home loss on Wednesday night. The win closed the Ferrum lead to a one-point advantage with a score of 5-4. 

Ikia Garcia got a huge victory for the Knights as he recorded a victory by fall at the 3:40 mark in the match. The win gave the good guys a short-lived 10-8 lead over Ferrum. The Panthers proved too tough as they would retake the lead and hold on for the rest of the match.

Elijah Blackwell continues his hot streak in conference completion as he beat Hayden Funk 4-2. The win marks the third straight for the sophomore bringing his conference record to an impressive (5-1) on the year.
