Grove City, PA - The Southern Virginia men's lacrosse team faced a tough challenge, falling to Grove City with a final score of 2-18.
The offense encountered difficulties right from the start, experiencing a 0-5 deficit in the first quarter. Despite the early struggles, Peyton Merwin managed to put the Knights on the scoreboard with a goal assisted by Forest Ambridge. However, Grove City's offense remained relentless, leading 8-1 at halftime.
The second half witnessed the Wolverines dominating the game, scoring 10 goals to secure the victory. Gabe King contributed the Knights' final goal, marking his 19th of the season, but Southern Virginia eventually fell 2-18.
Grove City maintained a significant advantage in shots, outshooting the Knights 60-32, and dominated face-offs with a score of 15-8.
The Knights are determined to bounce back as they return home to face Messiah University on March 13th, Wednesday, at 4:00 PM.
