BRIDGEWATER, Va. — The Southern Virginia University men's tennis team continued its strong fall campaign with a dominant 6–1 victory over Bridgewater College, marking the second straight year the Knights have defeated the Eagles by the same score.

Southern Virginia came out sharp in doubles play, securing the opening point with wins across all three courts. The duo of Mason Pitcher and Tracen Karrasch cruised to a 6–2 win at No. 1, while Trent McBride and Traejen Kingston followed with a 6–4 win at No. 2. The Knights completed the sweep as Mateo Molanphy and Jacob Feldman claimed a decisive 6–1 victory at No. 3.

The Knights carried that momentum into singles play, taking five of six matches. Karrasch and Kingston each dominated their opponents with sets of 6–0 and 6–1, while Molanphy blanked his opponent at No. 6 with a perfect 6–0, 6–0. McBride added a 6–1, 6–1 win, and Feldman earned a convincing 6–2, 6–1 victory. Despite a hard-fought effort from Pitcher, he fell 1–6, 3–6 at the top singles spot.

With another commanding performance, Southern Virginia improves its fall record and looks to continue its momentum at home this Saturday against Virginia Wesleyan University. The Knights last met the Marlins in 2022, taking home a 6–3 win.
