Newark, DE – The Southern Virginia University men's rugby team continued its dominant spring campaign with a historic 128-0 victory over the University of Delaware under the Friday night lights. The Knights delivered a record-breaking performance, setting new program marks for most points scored in a single game and most total tries recorded.
The offensive onslaught saw 13 different Knights cross the try line, contributing to an incredible 20 total tries on the night. Zachary Jones led the charge with four tries, while Rylan Frazier, O'Shea Settle, Sione Tokelau, and Royal Bowden each added two. The scoring was spread across the roster, with Callum Hyland, Lomu Tokelau, Mile Pulotu, Brayden Lee, Weston Memmott, Mahonri Smith-Falo, Carson Howard, and Jordan Masuisui all getting in on the action.
From the tee, the Knights kept the scoreboard rolling with Settle converting six kicks, Jones adding four, and Mikaera Puriri contributing another four conversions.
With their high-powered attack and relentless defense, Southern Virginia secured yet another statement win as they head into their final match of the spring 15s season. The Knights will look to finish on a high note as they celebrate Senior Night next weekend against the University of Mary Washington.
