Buena Vista, VA - The Southern Virginia University men's tennis team was back to their winning ways with a resounding victory over USA South foe Mary Baldwin, 7-0.

The Pitcher brothers combined for a win in the #1 Doubles matchup, 6-1, and were followed by the Knights' two other teams who won 6-2, and 6-1, respectively. The decisive wins were a good start towards the Knights' first conference win of the season.

After taking care of all three doubles matches, all six Knights swept through their singles matches. Mason Pitcher led the way in the one spot and captured his first singles victory of the season as he continues to round into excellent form.

Jared Pitcher won his second singles match in the last three outings while Nate Walton and Trent McBride lost just one game each to ensure the victory. Chase Rishel and Hayden Carver put the cherry on top with two more wins to make it a perfect day for Southern Virginia.

The Knights will continue their conference slate this Saturday, April 5th, by hosting Methodist who currently sits undefeated in the conference standings. Start time for the match is scheduled for 2:00 PM at the Knights Tennis Complex.
