Buena Vista, VA - The Southern Virginia University women's tennis team won a second straight match against a conference opponent to retain a spotless mark in league standings. They made quick work of Mary Baldwin, 7-0.
The Knights took care of their three doubles matches to secure the important first point of the match. Lydia Delich and Natalia Molanphy teamed for the first time at the No. 2 spot and secured a 6-0 win after Paula Snelson and Jillian Arnold eased their way to a victory in the first doubles match.
In singles, the top four won in straight sets to decide the win early on. Sadie Walton came in at the five spot to win in straight sets as well and collect her third win of the season. Finally, Elizabeth Ursenbach only relinquished one game on her way to making it a perfect afternoon for the Knights.
Southern Virginia currently sits in second place in the USA South standings behind Pfeiffer, and is one of three teams unbeaten in conference play.
