VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - After an undefeated week, the Southern Virginia University men's soccer team looked to bring momentum into their final non-conference matchup of the season with Regent.
Despite a dominant attacking effort, the Knights couldn't solve the Royals keeper and ultimately settled for a scoreless draw.
Fresh off a two goal performance and being named the USA South's Player of the Week, Landon Stock appeared to have opened the scoring just five minutes after the opening kick, but he would be ruled offside.
The offensive onslaught throughout the afternoon. Southern Virginia launched 26 total shots in the game, 13 of them on target, not to mention a crossbar that was struck midway through the second half.
Kenyon Grange led the Knights with three shots on goal, including a glorious chance inside the box with less than 10 minutes on clock.
Zack Snow collected the clean sheet in goal, the second of the year for the freshman. He also received quality support from the back line, including Josh Woffinden who blocked a rare high-danger chance for the Royals to secure at least a tie.
Looking Ahead
Southern Virginia returns to league play this weekend for a crucial matchup with Pfeiffer, the regular season champions of the USA South just a season ago. Kickoff is set for 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 17th at Knight Stadium.
