Owings Mills, Md. - The Southern Virginia University men's volleyball capped off another undefeated week after two victories at the Mustang Classic.

Match One

The Knights matched up with the hosts of the tournament, Stevenson, on Friday evening. The first two sets went back and forth, but the Mustangs came up with the points when it mattered most.

The hosts won both sets in dramatic fashion, putting the Knights on the brink of defeat. However, Southern Virginia's high-octane attack came alive in the third and never looked back.

Thanks to five from Trajan Wadsworth, the Knights delivered 10 aces compared to Stevenson's zero, putting them on their heels the rest of the night. Tommy Forese eventually put an exclamation on the comeback with the final kill in a dominant fifth set.

Match Two

Nichols College served as the competition in Southern Virginia's second match of the weekend. The Knights flipped the script from Friday night, using a strong finish to win the first set.

Jason Wang took over in the second, combining for several blocks and a couple of kills to put his team in control.

Tom Peterson's squad seemed to get better as the match went on, producing double digit leads in each of the final two sets to finish off a sweep. They now sit at 13-1 on the season. 

Looking Ahead

League play in the CVC officially starts on Saturday, February 21st at 12:00 PM. Southern Virginia will visit Elizabethtown as they begin their quest for a fourth straight regular season title.
