INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The NCAA Division III Men's Golf Committee has announced the teams and individuals selected to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, with Southern Virginia University's Nikko Taggart earning an individual bid.
Taggart, a junior from Katy, Texas, is one of just 10 individual selections in the 225-player field. He becomes the first player in program history to represent Southern Virginia at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship.
A standout performer for the Knights—who are currently ranked No. 38 in Division III—Taggart earned USA South First Team All-Conference honors this season and is ranked 29th in the nation while averaging a 71.2 strokes per round.
The championship field consists of 43 teams and 10 individuals not competing with a team. Thirty-four conferences received automatic qualification, while nine teams earned at-large bids. The individual selections were chosen from players who did not qualify with their teams.
The 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship will be held May 12–15 at Mission Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, and will be hosted by Oglethorpe University and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission. The championship will be contested over 72 holes, with play split between the El Campeón and Las Colinas courses for the first two rounds before concluding on El Campeón.
Following 36 holes, the field will be cut to the top 18 teams and the top six individuals not on advancing teams.
