David Smith joined Southern Virginia University's baseball coaching staff for the 2020- 21 season. He brings over 17 years of experience to the team and is the Hitting and Outfield Coach.
Smith began his baseball career at Ricks College, now known as BYU-Idaho, from 1995–97, coached by Jerry Schlegelmilch and served as team captain. After Ricks, Smith attended and played baseball at Southern Utah University from 1997–98. Â
Smith graduated from Southern Utah University with a bachelor's degree in history and his associate's degree in business from Ricks College.Â
Smith has worked in the Real Estate Field since 2001 and has held the positions of Director of Marketing, Senior Vice President of Sales, and State President. He is currently the President of Crimson Title Services in Utah.
Smith has been married to the love of his life for the past 26 amazing years, and they enjoy spending time with their four sons and two dogs.
