James Poole

James “Bubba” Poole was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 2, 1992. Poole attended Cimarron-Memorial and Bishop Gorman High School.

James was the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Nevada in 2010. He played football at the University of Utah on a full-ride scholarship from 2012 to 2015, where he was named to the All-Pac-12 and All-Pac-12 Academic Team in 2013.

After graduating, James spent time playing professionally in various leagues, including the NFL and AFL. After concluding his playing career, Coach Poole got his first opportunity to coach high school football in Sugar Salem City (2018), where he won three consecutive state championships as an offensive coordinator. Poole then took a head coaching job in 2021, where he led Canyon Ridge High School (ID) to its best season in school history. Poole is entering his first season coaching Wide Receivers and serving as Special Teams Coordinator.
