Justin Hugie enters his third season with the Southern Virginia football programs as the wide receivers and special teams coach.

Most recently, Hugie served the past four years at Southern Utah University, as a defensive assistant coach 2-14-15 and as a special teams assistant 2016-17. His last role was during 2017 as an offensive assistant. 

Hugie was a part of two Big Sky Championships in 2015 and 2017, with the team making two playoff appearances. 

Coached Big Sky First Team All-Conference punter, in 2016. His special teams kickoff coverage and punt coverage became ranked first in the conference. 

Prior to coaching, Hugie graduated from Southern Utah with a Bachelor's in Human Performance. He is currently earning his Masters's degree in Public Administration from Southern Utah and is married to his wife Madison.
