Nate Lealao enters his fifth season with the Knights, his fourth year as Defensive Coordinator, and his second season with the Defensive Backs. 

Leolao played at James Logan High School in Union City, Calif., earning All-League and All-East Bay honors. After high school, he played linebacker and defensive end at College of the Canyons and went on to play at Dixie State University from 2013-16.

A Bay Area native, Lealao is the nephew of head coach Edwin Mulitalo. His father, Rob Lealao, is a coach at James Logan High School, and his youngest brother Nakita Lealao plays at the University of Nevada-Reno.

Served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission. He graduated from Dixie State with a Bachelor's Degree in communications and an emphasis in mass media.

Lealao resides in Buena Vista with his wife Macon and their daughter Maelyn.
