Forrest Sutherland joined the Southern Virginia University Athletics Staff in 2019, and was named Head Athletic Trainer in July 2025.

Before coming to Southern Virginia, Sutherland earned a B.S. from Weber State in Athletic Training in 2019.

Sutherland resides in Buena Vista with his family.
