Southern Virginia University

Quin Meyer was named Director of Athletic Communications in August of 2024. He graduated from Southern Virginia University in 2023 with a B.A. in Business Management, and a concentration in Sports Management.

As a four year student-athlete, Meyer ran cross country and track and field at UNC Asheville for one year before serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Southern Brazil. Following his mission, he transferred to Southern Virginia University and ran competitively for another three years.

During his undergraduate studies, Meyer spent time as an Administrative Intern with Keystone Planning Group, interacting with clients and other healthcare providers in respect of the North Carolina Certificate of Need. He provided support in focused areas and executed tasks under direct supervision of the Keystone Senior Partner.

During his final two years of school, he worked closely with the athletics program, specifically game operations and broadcast. During his senior year, he interned for athletic communications as a game statistician and produced website content.

He also worked with the Holly Springs Salamanders of the Coastal Plain League, a collegiate summer baseball league in the southeast. He served as Trackman/Synergy Analytics Operator for one season. 

Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, he is passionate about college sports and his favorite professional team is the Carolina Hurricanes. He and his wife, Kamryn, reside in Buena Vista.
