Krystal Kemp begins her first season as an Assistant Softball Coach at Southern Virginia University for the 2024-2025 season.

Kemp’s playing career has been marked by success at the high school and collegiate levels. She played for a National Travel Softball organization, competing in some of the top tournaments in the country. During high school, Kemp helped lead her team to a 2018 State Championship and earned a First-Team All-State selection.

Kemp played collegiately at Southern Virginia University 2018-2023 where she is the career leader in RBIs and home runs. She was named First Team All-Conference in the USA South in 2023.

Following her graduation from SVU in 2023, Kemp spent the 2023-2024 season as a graduate assistant coach at Randolph College, where she further honed her coaching skills. Now, she returns to her alma mater to help develop the next generation of SVU softball talent.

With her deep understanding of the game and a strong desire to mentor student-athletes, Coach Kemp is excited to contribute to the continued success of the Southern Virginia University softball program.
