Southern Virginia University

Tiffane Pendleton was named Head Coach of the Southern Virginia University softball team in 2017. She has also served as the Athletic Department's Diversity and Inclusion Designee since 2021. 

With Pendleton at the helm, the Knights have won over 90 games. In 2023, they won 20 games for the first time since joining the NCAA, and the most since 2010. In 2024, the team finished with an 11-7 mark in league play to clinch a tie for the third seed in the USA South. It also stands as the best conference record in program history.

Since joining the USA South, Pendleton's teams have produced 11 all-conference performers and the 2025 Rookie of the Year. They've also excelled in the classroom with dozens of athletes featured on the academic all-conference team. In 2024, eight players were named to the Division lll Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete Team.

Before her promotion to Head Coach, Pendleton served as an assistant for six seasons. A former Knight, Pendleton played in the outfield from 2005-2008. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Southern Virginia University in 2008.

Tiffane and her husband, Chris, reside in Buena Vista with their puppy, Franklin.
