Rob Dahl began was named Head Coach of the Southern Virginia University women's soccer team in 2021. During his four seasons at the helm, the Knights have accumulated three ten-win seasons and have qualified for the conference tournament each year. The team has made the conference final three years running, a stretch which culminated in the program's first-ever USA South title in 2023, qualifying them for the NCAA Tournament.

Over four seasons, Dahl's teams have produced 22 all-conference performers, one USA South Goalkeeper of the Year, and a USA South Player of the Year. In 2023, Dahl was named USA South Coach of the Year after leading the team to an undefeated record in conference play, allowing just two goals against conference opponents in 12 contests. 

Coach Dahl began his coaching career at the high school level, but has proceeded to coach at the Club, ODP, and collegiate levels. Before joining the Southern Virginia staff, he coached at the College of Southern Nevada, Snow College and Utah Tech. At Utah Tech, his team won the National Championship in 2000 in St. Louis, Missouri. His team also claimed Most Outstanding Offensive Player, Defensive Player, and the Team Sportsmanship awards. For his efforts, he was named the 2000 NJCAA National Coach of the Year.

As a player, Dahl was named First Team All-State at Timpview High School in Provo, UT.  He played with the Provo Strikers in the Utah Men's Major Division and played collegiate soccer at Missouri Southern.

From 1983-1985, Coach Dahl served as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California, San José Mission. He married his wife, Camille, in 1987 and has they have 3 children and 4 granddaughters.
