Shannon is in her first year as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's swim teams.

Shannon, a Utah native, coached for one of the best club teams in the state called Utah Valley Aquatics for four years as an assistant coach. She was also an assistant at Mountain View High School for a year before heading to Spanish Fork High School and American Leadership Academy to be the head coach. Dowling was also chosen to represent team Utah at the western zones championship in California.

Shannon is currently finishing up her undergrad in Psychology.
