VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.—The Southern Virginia men's basketball team was held to a season low 44 points on Wednesday against No. 18 Virginia Wesleyan as they fell to the Marlins 71-44 in the last non-conference game of the season.
The Knights (3-7, 2-1 CAC) had their lowest shooting percentage of the year and were led in scoring by senior guard Kevin Walker and sophomore center Cale Thornton who each had 10 points. Walker also had nine rebounds, along with forward David Baety.
Southern Virginia heads to No. 11 Christopher Newport on Saturday in their first CAC contest of 2016. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
