Apprentice Bests Knights

NEWPORT NEWS, Va.—The Southern Virginia men's basketball team lost 81-73 in a non-conference game against Apprentice School.

The Knights shot 40.5 percent from the field but only went 4-11 from the line.

Senior Anders Jacobson and junior Justin Langford led the Knights (1-4) with 18 points apiece. Senior Kevin Walker had 12 points and three assists.

Aarun Rumbaugh tallied 15 points, five assists, and eight rebounds while David Baety had 10 points, six assists, and eight rebounds.

The Knights had no points off the bench compared to Apprentice's (2-3) 15.

Southern Virginia returns home on Tuesday, December 2 to play their first conference match against Marymount. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30.
