Men's Basketball Drops Heartbreaker at Randolph College

LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Southern Virginia University men's basketball team suffered a heartbreaking one-point loss at the hands of Randolph College on Saturday afternoon, falling 60-59 on the road. 

With 3.2 seconds on the clock, the Knights' (5-5) Aarun Rumbaugh made a go-ahead basket and a 59-57 advantage. In the remaining ticks, the Wildcats' (1-8) Reid Jacoby was able to move the ball across midcourt and shoot a deep, contested three-pointer which found the basket and gave Randolph its first win of the season.

Both teams shot evenly from the field at 32%, although the Wildcats drained seven threes compared to the Knights' three. 

Justin Prisbrey led the team with 14 points and nine boards, followed by Rumbaugh's 11 points.
