Box Score BUENA VISTA, Va.— The Southern Virginia University men's basketball team fell Wednesday Night at home against the University of Mary Washington, 66-41.
In the first half of action, the Southern Virginia University men's basketball team (4-20, 0-15 CAC) took an early 9-3 lead on the University of Mary Washington (17-7, 9-4 CAC) with 14:18 left to play. The rest of the half was a back and forth battle that ended with the Eagles on top, 32-27.
The second half was dominated by Mary Washington as they out-scored the Knights 34-14, ultimately winning the game 66-41.
Trey Dill was the only Southern Virginia player to score in double-digits with 10 points and six rebounds.
The Eagles had two players, Greg Rowson and Riley Welch who both finished the game with a game-high 16 points.
Southern Virginia closes out their season on Saturday, Feb. 16 as they play host to St. Mary's College of Maryland at 3 p.m.
