Box Score BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University men's basketball team debuted in their 2021-2022 season, taking Eastern Mennonite University in Knight Arena Tuesday night. The Knights locked in their season-opening victory, defeating the Royals 78-75.

- Connor Marchant added a final three-pointer in the final minute of the first half, sending Southern Virginia into the halftime break with the 52-37 lead

Southern Virginia continues its season, competing in the UR Chuck Resler Basketball Invitational Friday, November 12, and Saturday, November 13. Game one is scheduled versus Houghton at 1 pm, and game two is scheduled against The College of New Jersey at 1 pm.
