BUENA VISTA, Va. - - The Southern Virginia University field hockey team dropped a home match against Sweet Briar College, on a chilly Monday night, 4-0.

How it Happened:
Ingrid Kalwitz Blanco scored the first goal of the game after an assist by Brynna Hughes putting the Vixens up 1-0.
The Knights defense played outstanding in the second quarter, only giving up one shot and holding Sweet Briar to zero goals.
Offensively
Elizabeth Sorto was able to get a shot off in the closing minutes of the second but Vixen keeper Ashley Maggiora was able to shut down the scoring attempt.
Avery Jones scored her first of the day after an assist from teammate Carlina Christy put Sweet Briar up 2-0.
The Vixens continued their offensive prowess in the fourth quarter after two goals pushed their lead 4-0.
