BUENA VISTA, VA. — The Southern Virginia University men's basketball team snapped their winning streak Saturday afternoon, falling to Averett University 77-55.

Game Notes

• Elliot Spencer shined in the first half for the Knights, recording 14 points and two assists
• Jesse Barker had a solid half, scoring seven points and dished out one assist
• Coming off of the bench, Isiah Marchant recorded three points off of a made three-pointer
• Conner Marchant did all he could in the second half, scoring seven points, while Elliot Spencer, Jesse Barker, and Isiah Marchant each scored six points
• The Knights improved in their shooting in the second half, shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from three
• Southern Virginia ended the game shooting 39.1 percent from the field, and 45 percent from behind the arc
• The Knights dished out 14 assists while scoring 16 points in the paint

Southern Virginia travels to Methodist on Thursday, February 10, to take on the Monarchs. Game time is scheduled for 5 pm.
