CHAMBERSBURG, PA - The Southern Virginia field hockey team traveled to Chambersburg, PA, to face the Phoenix of Wilson College and lost the game 0-4.

Wilson put the pressure on offense from the opening whistle, grabbing three penalty corners in the first quarter, and jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first.

In the second quarter, the Knights rebounded and could limit the Phoenix to just two shots while shooting one of their own, but could not capitalize on their two penalty corners to go into the half down 3-0.

Wilson came out of the half with renewed energy and led an offensive onslaught, which ended the game 4-0.

Paola Nunez returned as the Goalkeeper and did all she could with 13 saves on the day for the second most this season. 

Southern Virginia returns home as they play Sewanee University on Tuesday, October 17th, with game time set for 2:00 PM.
