BUENA VISTA, VA — Southern Virginia University faced off against Greensboro College in a game that ended with a final score of 7-47 in favor of The Pride.
The first quarter saw Greensboro take an early lead with a 21-yard pass from Alec Williams-Carr to Ryan Buchanan. They continued to increase their lead with two more touchdowns, making it 20-0 at the end of the quarter.
Greensboro maintained their strong performance into the second quarter. Williams-Carr connected with Shamar Privette on a 26-yard pass, extending their lead. Larry Jones intercepted a pass and added another touchdown, bringing the score to 34-0 in favor of GBC. The second quarter concluded with a 29-yard pass from Williams-Carr to Tegan Griggs, giving Greensboro a commanding 40-0 lead.
The third quarter saw Alec Williams-Carr once again connecting with his teammates, this time with a 9-yard pass to Rodney Scott, extending The Pride's lead to 47-0.
Southern Virginia managed to get on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter when
Isaiah Maxey connected with
Isaac McMullin for a 41-yard pass, making the final score 47-7.
The Knights return home on Saturday, November 4, taking on Belhaven. Opening Kickoff is set for noon.
