BUENA VISTA, VA - The Southern Virginia field hockey team took on Hood College and fell to the mustangs 0-5.

Hood put the pressure on the Knights all game as they tallied 15 shots in each quater not allowing Southern Virginia to put any pressure on offense 

Hood was up 3-0 at the half and Southern Virginia was able to get two penalty corners late in the fourth quarter but the offensive onslaught from hood stopped all momentum for the Knights

On the defensive end Makaila Gillardo put up a team season-high of 17 saves on the day.

Southern Virginia stay home for a quick turnaround as they play Goucher College on Wednesday, October 4th with game time set for 6:00 PM
