BUENA VISTA, VA – The Southern Virginia University Women's Soccer team secured a dominant 3-0 win against Salem College in the USA South Conference Tournament First Round.
Makinna Winterton opened the scoring for Southern Virginia at the 20:53 mark, with an assist from
Claire Stephens, highlighting the team's early offensive prowess.
Maybel Harris extended the lead for Southern Virginia University at 59:58, finding the back of the net before
Bailey Ricker sealed the victory at 63:57, adding the third goal for SVU, assisted by
Makinna Winterton.
Southern Virginia University's solid defense and effective teamwork on the field resulted in a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Salem College. With this win, the women's soccer team moves forward in the USA South Conference Tournament, setting their sights on capturing their first title.
The Knights take on Greensboro College in the Semifinals in Knight Stadium on Thursday, November 2, at 5 p.m.
